I create and present training programs for a client’s individual needs. These training programs range from sexual harassment awareness and prevention training (which is required training for supervisors in Connecticut, and recommended training for employees in Massachusetts) to employment law basics for managers and human resource professionals. The training programs are lively, interactive and practical.
While certain training should occur regularly (such as sexual harassment awareness and prevention training), other training programs may become advisable based on a workplace event or situation. For example, if a personnel issue arises in which an employee complains of a racially hostile work environment, it may be advisable to conduct diversity sensitivity training for the entire affected department. This will not only hopefully foster a change in way employees treat their co-workers, but will also demonstrate how seriously the employer took the complaint, in the event of a subsequent legal claim.
