Wage and Hour

I regularly counsel employers on wage and hour issues, including employee classifications and overtime policies and issues. To that end, I perform audits of employer classifications and advise employers as to whether, based on an employee’s job duties, that employee should properly be classified as exempt or non-exempt. Since this can be a huge trap for the unwary, I counsel employers to review and revise their written job descriptions annually, and to have regular legal audits performed of employee classifications.

I also represent employers in the context of Department of Labor proceedings, including wage and hour complaints and audits.
